Andrea Kimi Antonelli: Formula 1 driver profile and weekend guide
Andrea Kimi Antonelli makes his full-time Formula 1 debut with Mercedes in 2026 alongside George Russell. This GP Race Day hub covers Antonelli’s race results, learning curve in the new rules era and links to the season calendar.
Mercedes rookie in a new rules cycle
Antonelli progressed through Mercedes’ junior programme and earned a seat for 2026 as the team enters the updated power-unit and aerodynamic regulations. He races the W17 with factory Mercedes power.
Rookie seasons often swing on adaptation to tyres, brakes and race starts — chart Antonelli’s progress in the stats table above rather than expecting instant parity with a veteran teammate.
